FeedPilot manual

How to run your channel with FeedPilot, in the same words the bot uses.

How FeedPilot works

FeedPilot writes your channel's posts. You decide which ones go out.

  • Every day, at the time you choose, new drafts arrive in your drafts inbox.
  • Each draft looks exactly as your readers will see it. You publish it, change it, or drop it.
  • A published post goes to every channel you connected, all at once.

Everything else sits behind the four doors of /menu:

  • 📊 Today — the day's drafts, and what happened to each one.
  • 📝 Content — what the posts are about.
  • 📡 Publishing — when posts come, how many, and who approves them.
  • ⚙️ Settings — where posts go, and how they look.

Each door is also a command you can type: /today, /content, /publishing, /settings. /help opens this manual.

Connecting your channels

Nothing can be published until at least one channel is connected. Open ⚙️ Settings🔗 Platforms.

Telegram

  1. In Telegram, open your channel, go to Administrators, and add the bot as an administrator that can post messages.
  2. In 🔗 Platforms, tap ➕ Telegram.
  3. Forward any post from your channel to the bot, or send the channel's @username.

Instagram

  1. Your Instagram account must be a professional account (Business or Creator). You can switch in the Instagram app, under Account type and tools.
  2. In 🔗 Platforms, tap ➕ IG. The bot sends you a link.
  3. Open the link, log in to Instagram, and tap Allow. The link works only once.

Bale

Make the bot an administrator of your Bale channel, tap ➕ Bale, and send the channel's @username.

To stop posting to a channel, tap it in 🔗 Platforms, then tap ✖ Remove. ➕ Another channel adds a second channel on a platform you already use.

Reviewing a draft

Each draft arrives as the post itself, with buttons under it. What you see is what your readers will see.

  • 👀 Review — marks the draft as read, so your team knows someone checked it. It does not publish.
  • ✏️ Edit — change words. Send the sentence as it is now on one line, and what it should become on the next line. Send as many pairs as you need, in one message.
  • 🗑 Drop — the draft is not published. You can say why, and the next drafts learn from it.
  • 🖼 Images — replace a picture, choose how many pictures the post has, or, with two pictures, choose which part of each one shows.
  • ✂️ Shorten — the bot makes the text shorter. Numbers, links and hashtags stay as they are.
  • 📤 Publish — the post goes out now.
  • 📡 Telegram · IG — the last row shows where this post goes. Tap it to turn a platform off or on for this post. Remember for later posts makes your choice the default.

📤 Publish All, under the day's drafts, publishes every draft you have not dropped.

Dropped one by mistake? Its button then reads Dropped — tap to undo.

When approval is set to Veto, each draft shows the time it will publish by itself. Drop or edit it before then to stop it.

After a post is published, 📱 Story makes an Instagram story from it.

Today

/today

📊 Today lists the day's drafts and what happened to each one: waiting for review, approved, published or dropped. It also shows when the next drafts will come.

▶ Make today's drafts now makes the day's drafts straight away, without waiting for the posting time. They arrive in your drafts inbox within a few minutes. This needs at least one connected channel.

Content

/content

📝 Content is what your posts talk about.

🛍 Products

Your catalogue. Nothing is posted until there is at least one product.

  • ➕ Add — adds a product in four short questions. The bot asks for the name, the price exactly as it should appear, one sentence about the product, and a photo. No photo? Tap Skip, and add one later with 🖼 New photo.

Tap a product to open it. Its buttons come in three groups.

📝 Draft

  • ▶ Post now — makes a draft of this product right away. It arrives in your drafts inbox within a few minutes, and nothing is published until you approve it.
  • 📌 Post next — puts it first in line for the next drafts. Use it for a product you want seen soon, when no particular day matters.
  • 📌 Remove from queue — takes it out of the line again. The product stays in your catalogue.
  • 📅 Pick a day — schedules it for the day you choose. On that day, the bot writes about this product among the day's drafts.

✏️ Edit

  • ✏️ Name, 💰 Price, ✏️ Pitch, 🖼 New photo — change that part of the product. The bot shows what is there now, so you can copy it and change only what you need.
  • 🎬 Add video — adds a short clip. Posts made from this product then go out as the clip. The bot takes up to 20 MB; send bigger files from the web page.
  • 🎬 Replace video, 🎬✖ Remove video — change the clip, or take it off. Without a clip, posts use the photo again.

⚙️ Manage

  • ⏸ Pause — keeps the product out of posts without deleting it. Useful while it is out of stock.
  • ▶ Resume — brings a paused product back into posts.
  • 🗑 Delete — removes the product for good. The bot asks you to confirm first.

📣 Offers

Sales and announcements. Each one is posted once, oldest first, or on the day you pick.

  • ➕ Add — adds an offer in three short questions. The bot asks for a short title, then the full text in your own words, with the exact numbers and dates, then a photo. No photo? Tap Skip.

Tap an offer to open it.

📝 Draft

  • ▶ Post now — makes a draft of this offer right away. It arrives within a few minutes, for your approval.
  • 📅 Pick a day — schedules it for the day you choose. Handy for a sale that starts on a set date.

✏️ Edit

  • ✏️ Title, ✏️ Text — change that part of the offer. Keep numbers, prices and dates exact, because the bot uses them as they are.
  • 🎬 Add video — adds a short clip, and the offer's post goes out as the clip. The bot takes up to 20 MB; send bigger files from the web page.
  • 🎬 Replace video, 🎬✖ Remove video — change the clip, or take it off.
  • 🗑 Delete — removes the offer for good. A post already published from it stays in your channel.

📖 Glossary

Words that must always be written the same way. Add the names, spellings and wording you prefer here.

  • ➕ Add — asks for the word, then exactly how it should be written. Last, you can write a note for the bot, for example why, or when not to use it. No note? Tap Skip.

Tap an entry to open it:

  • ✏️ Wording — changes how the word must be written. Every new post uses the new wording from then on.
  • ✏️ Note — changes the note for the bot.
  • 🗑 Delete — removes the entry. The bot then writes that word as it sees fit.

Publishing

/publishing

📡 Publishing is when posts come, how many, and who approves them. Where they go is set in ⚙️ Settings.

🗓 Plan

When drafts come, and how many. Tap a line to change it:

  • 📆 Posts per day — how many drafts each day brings. More drafts means more to review, and you can drop any you do not want.
  • 🕒 Posting time — when the drafts arrive, in your own time. Pick an hour, and the drafts are ready around then.
  • ⏹ No daily run — stops the daily drafts. You can still make them from 📊 Today.
  • 🧩 Post types — which kinds of posts are made: products, offers, guides and stories. A guide is a useful tip about one of your products. Tap a type to turn it on or off.
  • 🎯 Product choice — which products come first. Your picks and then the rest, only your picks, or all products in turn. Your picks are the products you marked 📌 Post next.
  • 📅 Days — the days of the week that bring drafts. Tap a day to turn it on or off.
  • 🌍 Timezone — the time zone you are in. The posting time follows it.
  • ⏸ Pause posting — no new drafts until you tap ▶ Resume posting.

✅ Approval

Who publishes, and when.

  • Manual — nothing goes out until you tap 📤 Publish. The safest choice while you get to know the drafts.
  • Veto — a draft publishes itself after 15, 30 or 60 minutes, unless you drop or edit it first. Each draft shows the time it will go out.
  • Auto — drafts go out as soon as they are made. Choose it only once the drafts need no changes.

Settings

/settings

⚙️ Settings is where your posts go, how they look, and how the bot works with you.

🔗 Platforms

The channels your approved posts go to. Every approved post goes to all of them at once.

  • ➕ Telegram — connects a Telegram channel. First make the bot an administrator of your channel, with permission to post. Then forward any post from the channel to the bot, or send its @username.
  • ➕ IG — connects a professional Instagram account. The bot sends a link: open it, log in to Instagram, and tap Allow. The link works once.
  • ➕ Bale — connects a Bale channel. Make the bot an administrator there, then send the channel's @username.
  • ➕ Another channel — adds a second channel on a platform you already use. The same approved posts go to it too.

Tap a connected channel to open it:

  • ✏️ Change — connects a different channel in its place. The steps are the same as connecting.
  • ✖ Remove — posts stop going there. The bot asks you to confirm, and you can connect it again any time.

🌐 Languages

Every post is written in each of these languages separately, never translated. The bot talks to you in the first one.

  • ➕ Add a language — from the next batch, every post is written in it too. It is written on its own, not translated. Then connect a channel for it in 🔗 Platforms.

Tap a language to see its channels:

  • ✖ Remove this language — no more posts are written in it. The bot asks whether its channels are disconnected too, or stay connected for later. The only language cannot be removed.

🏷 Brand

How your posts sound.

  • Warm, Formal or Playful — the tone of every post. Tap one, and the next drafts use it.
  • ✏️ Ordering line — the last line of every post, telling people how to order. For example: Message @shop to order.
  • ✏️ About — two or three sentences about your shop, in your own words. The bot uses them to write in your voice.

🎨 Image style

How your Instagram posts and stories look.

  • 🖼 Post style, 📱 Story style — choose how posts or stories look, in one of the three ways below. Each shows the look it has now.
  • 📤 Use my own picture — your picture becomes the background. Landscape suits posts, and portrait suits stories.
  • ✨ Design it with me — describe a look and pick from samples, in up to two rounds. Name colours, pattern and mood, for example dark blue with soft, calm waves. In the last round, pick one of the six to finish.
  • ↩️ Back to the default — brings back the first look, in your logo's colour.
  • 🏷 Upload logo — your logo goes on every post and story, and sets the default colour of your cards. A square logo works best.

📥 Drafts inbox

Where drafts arrive for review.

  • 💬 Here in the bot — drafts arrive in this chat. It suits one or two channels.
  • 📕 A private channel — drafts arrive in a private channel of your own. It suits a brand with more channels, or a team that reviews together. Make the bot an administrator there, with permission to post and edit, and the bot switches as soon as you do.

Either way, your settings stay here in the bot chat.

🔔 Alerts

Where warnings go: when drafts could not be made, or a connection is about to expire.

  • 🔔 Keep them here — alerts arrive in this chat, next to your drafts.
  • To keep alerts apart from your drafts, send /alerts and follow its steps for a private channel.

🌐 Web page

All of these settings on one page in your browser. Tap 🌐 Web page, then Open. The link works once and keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days; ask for a new one any time. Videos bigger than 20 MB are uploaded there.

⏸ Pause posting

No new drafts are made until you tap ▶ Resume posting. Your products, settings and channels stay as they are.

➕ New brand

A second, separate channel with its own subjects, sources and schedule. The bot asks for its languages and its name. You connect its platforms separately, and switch between your brands with /menu.

When something goes wrong

  • No drafts came today. Open 📊 Today to see when the next drafts are due. Check that posting is not paused and that today is one of your 📅 Days. You can always tap ▶ Make today's drafts now.
  • A post did not reach Instagram. The note that appears after you tap 📤 Publish names the platform that failed. Most often the Instagram login has expired: connect Instagram again in ⚙️ Settings🔗 Platforms.
  • The web page says the link has expired. Ask the bot for a new one: ⚙️ Settings🌐 Web page.
  • A video is too big. The bot takes videos up to 20 MB. Upload bigger ones on the web page.
  • You want everything to stop. Tap ⏸ Pause posting in ⚙️ Settings. Nothing is made or published until you resume.
  • The bot keeps making the same mistake. Add the right wording to 📖 Glossary, and every post will use it.
